01 · The brief
Canal+ and VTV's joint venture K+ needed a complete OTT solution to allow over 1 million subscribers to watch satellite TV content on mobile devices. The project required end-to-end development of multi-platform apps, a video life cycle management system, and 24/7 support.
02 · Our approach
Ideaology collaborated closely with Irdeto, adopting a hybrid 'Agifall' approach blending Agile and Waterfall elements. We developed multi-platform applications for iOS, Android, Web, and STB, built a content and metadata management system using our proprietary VidScape solution, and implemented a Video Life Cycle Management system covering encoding, transcoding, and distribution across 30+ live channels and 1,000+ VOD titles.
03 · The outcome
The myK+ app launched within 6 months and achieved over 6.5 million downloads (5 million Android, 1.5 million iOS). The application received positive feedback for its user-friendly design and reliable performance, setting a high standard for digital broadcasting in Vietnam's satellite service industry.
